Season's Greetings

Hi there,

Are you having nice Christmas time?
I m Japanese (F), living in Switzerland.
I love all kind of birds.
My sweet friend is 'Pio' Sperlingspapagei. He is 3 month old and
very 'zahm'. Hopefully I will find his partner soon.

My Pio

Hi Claudia,

Thank you so much for your mail. I thought nobody will answer
to me..
My Pio is a male. He is singing and singing.....
I m looking for Yellow one( American or Pastel ... Mixed) but it is only my wish. I cannot find them even not a Sperlingspapagei in the shop. In Japan, we can find babys (ca. 3 weeks old) and we feed them. Is it not allowed?

Hi Keiko!

Welcome to the „Sperlingsforum”.

I think Pio feels a little bit lonely without another Sperling. I am entirely of claudias opinion: the best thing you can do for your pio: find a partner!
You will see, in a short time pio and his new friend are going to sit, eat and sleep close together. I am sure that Pio and you will be happy about his and your new partner.

What kind of Sperlingspapgei is Pio?
A Blaugenicksperlingspapagei?

In the Vogelnetzwerk, Adressen, Züchter... you will find with a little bit of luck a Sperlingspapgei from/in Switzerland.

I think, 3 weeks is to young for Sperlingspapgeien to be without there mother. They are so little, look at Harry´s pictures and also I don´t know, what they feed, if they are so young. I think, only the mother can give them the best feed and in my view, the need there mother to grow up.

I change the title of your thread to "Suche Partner für Pio / Looking for a partner for Pio" This should attrack more readers. Hope this is okay with you.


@clauvie and Moritz: I think it would be good to run this thread in German in parallel so that Keiko gets more information. Do you think you can write in dual language and take over the translations of Keiko's posts and any German replies? Send them to me by pn and I will copy them into the thread.

Es ist kein Problem für Deinen Vogel einen Partner zu bekommen.
Ich habe eine Liste von 25 Züchtern in der Schweiz.
Du kannst gerne von mir Adressen haben.

Hi Keiko

I'm also from Switzerland. I can recommend you an very serious breeder. He's only an half an hour far from your place.
I hope I could help you and your pio to find a lady for him.

Hallo Lilith

Du bist mir zuvor gekommen. Ich weiss das Keiko
nicht weit weg von Rolf wohnt. Ich bin sogar schon in dem
Ort wo Keiko wohnt gewesen. Ich wollte nur nicht
die Adresse hier öffentlich schreiben. Keiko hat schon
Kontakt mit mir aufgenommen. Ich denke sein Sperling
wird nicht mehr lange alleine sein.
